Use the formula: VAT = Gross Price × VAT Rate ÷ (100 + VAT Rate). Example: For €119 with 19% VAT: VAT = 119 × 19 ÷ 119 = €19, Net = €100.

What's the difference between gross and net price?

Gross price includes VAT (the price you pay at the store). Net price excludes VAT (the base price before tax). In most countries, consumer prices shown are gross prices.
